Published

on

For two days this December, Accra will become a meeting point for property seekers, investors, entrepreneurs and members of the Ghanaian diaspora looking to reconnect with the country through business, lifestyle and opportunity.

The Ghana Property & Lifestyle Expo 2026 returns to the Alisa Hotel in North Ridge on December 18 and 19, marking the event’s 10th anniversary and its fourth Accra edition.

A Decade of Connecting Ghana and the World

Organised by On Point Property, the expo has spent a decade bringing investors, businesses and international members of the Ghanaian diaspora closer to opportunities in Ghana and across Africa.

According to the organisers, the platform has facilitated more than US$100 million in property transactions while creating connections between thousands of visitors and businesses.

But the expo reaches beyond real estate.

Property Meets African Creativity

Visitors can explore residential, commercial and luxury developments, affordable housing and land opportunities, while banks, mortgage providers and financial specialists offer guidance on financing and investment.

There is also a strong lifestyle dimension. The expanded Lifestyle Pavilion will showcase African fashion, beauty, wellness, interiors, home décor, art, jewellery, food and other creative businesses — offering visitors a taste of the entrepreneurial energy shaping modern Ghana.

Panel discussions, keynote sessions and investment seminars will add practical insight, while opportunities in tourism, relocation, education, trade and entrepreneurship broaden the experience.

A Gathering for Locals and the Diaspora

For international visitors, the expo offers a fascinating introduction to Ghana beyond its tourist attractions.

For Ghanaians at home and abroad, it provides a chance to discover businesses, meet potential partners and explore ways of building a future in the country.

Admission is free with registration, making the December gathering an accessible way to experience Ghana’s property, business and creative landscape under one roof.

Ghana Property & Lifestyle Expo 2026 takes place from December 18–19, 10am–6pm daily, at Alisa Hotel, North Ridge, Accra.

Gologo Festival Brings Tenzug to Life With Music, Dance and Prayer

As the dry-season air hangs over Tenzug, beneath the dramatic rocks of the Tongo Hills, anticipation begins to build.

Drums break the quiet, people gather, and music and dancing fill the community as the Gologo Festival, also known as Golib, arrives with an age-old hope: that the rains will come and the farms will flourish.

A Festival Rooted in Farming

Celebrated in the Upper East Region in late March or early April, Gologo is closely tied to the agricultural calendar.

For communities whose livelihoods have long depended on farming, rainfall is far more than a change in the weather. It can determine whether a season brings food and security or hardship.

The festival therefore carries a strong spiritual purpose. Communities come together to ask for good rains and a successful farming season, connecting their hopes for the future with traditions passed down through generations.

Music, Dancing and Community

Public music and dancing are central to the celebration, transforming Tenzug into a lively gathering place. The sounds of drums and communal celebration create an atmosphere in which spiritual hopes and social life meet.

Gologo is also a moment of collective identity. Families and community members come together, strengthening relationships while reaffirming their connection to the land and the traditions that have shaped life around the Tongo Hills.

A Living Heritage

For younger generations, festivals such as Gologo provide an important link to cultural knowledge and community memory.

For visitors, they offer something no guidebook can quite reproduce: the chance to experience Ghanaian heritage as something lived rather than simply displayed.

Anyone exploring Ghana beyond its major cities should consider the Upper East Region during festival season. At Gologo, the landscape, spirituality, agriculture, music and community come together in a celebration that reminds us how closely people and the land can be connected.

Worldview Education Fair 2026: Accra Opens a Door to the World

For many young Ghanaians, studying abroad is more than a chance to earn a degree. It can mean discovering a new culture, building international friendships and returning home with skills that shape the next chapter of their lives. On Saturday, October 17, the Worldview Education Fair 2026 will bring that global ambition to the heart of Accra.

A Meeting Point for Global Education

Taking place from 12pm to 5pm at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel Accra, the fair will connect prospective students and their families with representatives from international educational institutions.

Organised by Worldview International, the event responds to growing interest in overseas education among Ghanaian students and families. Rather than relying solely on websites and application portals, visitors can have direct conversations with university representatives, ask detailed questions and explore which programmes and destinations might suit their ambitions.

More Than Choosing a University

Visitors can learn about degree programmes, scholarships, career prospects, visa requirements and funding options. Some institutions may also accept applications at the event, giving students an opportunity to move from research to action.

For parents and school counsellors, the fair offers another valuable perspective: a chance to understand the choices available to young people navigating an increasingly international education landscape.

Why Attend?

For Ghanaians, it is an opportunity to explore the world without leaving Accra. For international visitors interested in Ghana’s growing education and youth landscape, it offers a window into the aspirations of a generation looking beyond borders while remaining connected to home.

With global institutions, ambitious students and families sharing the same space, the Worldview Education Fair promises an afternoon built around ideas, opportunity and the possibilities that begin when education crosses borders.

Date: Saturday, October 17, 2026
Time: 12pm–5pm

Autism & SEN Show Africa 2026: Accra Hosts a Major Conversation on Inclusion

Published

In Accra this November, a gathering at the Google Accra AI Community Centre will put neurodiversity, inclusion and education at the centre of an important three-day conversation.

The Autism & SEN Show Africa 2026 takes place from November 11–13, 2026, bringing together educators, individuals, families, and other stakeholders to explore practical ways to create more inclusive spaces for people with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, and other neurodiverse conditions.

The event is significant in a Ghanaian context where conversations around special educational needs and neurodiversity are increasingly becoming part of wider discussions about education, employment, wellbeing and social participation.

Rather than treating inclusion as an abstract idea, the show creates space for people to exchange experiences, learn from one another and consider approaches that can work within African communities.

Each day offers a different focus. Wednesday, November 11, explores dyslexia, dyscalculia and other specific learning difficulties.

Thursday includes an in-person afternoon workshop examining adulthood, employment, mental health and wellbeing, while Friday turns attention to autism, ADHD and other neurodiverse conditions. The main show day continues online as a webinar on Saturday, November 14.

For visitors to Accra, the event offers an opportunity to experience another side of Ghanaian society—one shaped not by monuments or festivals, but by conversations about education, community and belonging.

For locals, it is a chance to connect with people working to make everyday environments more welcoming and accessible.

With spaces limited, those interested are encouraged to register early. The show promises an experience built around learning, human connection and a broader understanding of what inclusion can look like in contemporary Africa.
